I have very mixed opinions on rhythm u0026 rumble. Me u0026 my partner booked a private room here for our 5 night stay in canggu. On initial impressions the hostel is really nicely decorated u0026 gives off a good vibe. We specifically booked this hostel due to location (super close to the beach) u0026 the outside pool area. However, we had booked a private room in order to have our own privacy after staying in dorms u0026 unfortunately this hostel does not give privacy due to poor layout. We both feel that aesthetically it is great, however it is not practical. The private rooms directly face the pool / communal area and lack sound proofing u0026 any other natural light outside of the sliding doors that open onto the pool. This means that in order for people to not see into the room the curtains need to be permanently drawn making it rather dark u0026 the lack of soundproofing is ridiculous when people are socialising until the early hours of the morning (on more than one occasion literally screaming / singing at gone 1am). The hostel does have a no noise policy after 11pm but I cannot say this is implemented very well at all. They give a number to contact if there is too much noise but we did not get a response until the next day by which point we had already been kept awake half the night u0026 to make matters
Worse there is a building sight next door. I have seen on previous reviews there is an agreement that the building does not start until 10am, however banging has started as early as 7am on our stay. For this reason rhythm and rumble didn’t necessarily meet our expectations, particularly as it is fairly expensive as hostels go u0026 the private rooms really don’t offer much privacy (we felt we had more in a pod dorm in Singapore????). However, we can acknowledge that the social dynamic in this hostel is brilliant and if we were solo travellers or staying in the dorms, we probably would’ve enjoyed our stay more! Overall the service was good from the staff u0026 the hostel itself is lovely, just unfortunately the practicality let’s it down.

Honestly I wish I could give this hostel more than 5 stars. It’s not a party hostel but i had a great stay there. The staff is really kind and helpful. What I liked most about the hostel is the rooms, very comfortable beds and you have curtains which give you more privacy. You can also do yoga there or MMA, they have a pool and you can buy drinks there- in my opinion it’s better than other hostels around the areas such as Layday

Location: very good. Mini Mart and lots of different cuisine just a few distance away from the hostel.

Coworking: stable wifi, available plugs every corner, and a bit of music on the background. Although, the place could get a bit loud, especially towards evening because people are getting get-together. If you have meeting, there's also a common area just right above the Cafe!

Surfing, yoga, and everything fitness related is available here! Or, if there is still missing from their fitness classes, let them know and they might recommend you to an instructor!

People: I stayed at 2 different coworking hostels in Canggu, and some long-term guests at Rhythm and Rumble were very nice and made every effort to make everyone feel welcomed!

Rooms and common bathrooms: spacious and comfortable beds...however, for some shared dorm rooms, especially the one good for 12 pax, there were 2 nights in a row when one of the aircon probably stopped working, and the room was so hot, quite unbearable.

For towels: no towels provided but you can deposit 100000 idr for one.

Staff is so caring. Beds are really comfy and just feels clean! The vibe is a little coworking style but depends who’s there. Really great place to stay and good location.

Nice place to stay. But be aware that it can be loud if you stay near the pool area.

In front of the Hostel is a kind of taxi mafia. We took the gojek on the pick up area around the corner and they stopped us 2 times and told us we had to get out and pay alot more. We than went to the police 3km away and the police told the mafia taxi drivers to stop bothering us and to let us go with the gojek driver. If this happens to you, just go to the police.

Great rooms I stayed in the 12 bed dorm, nice curtain for privacy and very clean. Food Gym and Coffee were also a plus.

Will not recommmed this place at all if u want good sleep.
The walls are way too thin, u can hear clearly what the neighbour are up to.
They are not considerate, talking in 2am in the morning, showering in 6am.
Pros: close to the center and the room is clean.
