my wife and I arrived at the hotel in the evening. when we checked the sheets we must have seen 10 bed bugs on the bed. we went to the manager and told him we don't want to stay in the hotel. Then he started yelling at us and said that his hotel was the best in Bali. then he took out his phone and started throwing stuff at us and filmed it. we were shocked! then we went with him to the room because he didn't believe us. we showed him one of the bed bugs. he removed it with his hand, started laughing and said there is nothing.
this hotel should be closed!

I'll address a 1/5 review posted a couple weeks ago below, but I would say this is the best value for money in Canggu. I originally booked for a couple days and ended up staying 2.5 weeks and this would be the first place I'd stay whenever I'm back. It's about a 10 minute scooter ride from the centre of Canggu and it's dead quiet at night. I think it's the perfect location if you want to be a bit away from the crowds and either drive a scooter or take Go-jek / Grab to get to the centre or the beach. You can rent a scooter from them as well.

The rooms seem brand new and were always super clean. The pool is big, and clean. The food in the restaurant was great. Most of all, the staff was fantastic. The front-desk staff, the cleaners, the owner, everyone.

This is actually the first review I've posted and it's because I especially wanted to address a 1/5 review posted 2 weeks ago because I was there sitting in the restaurant when this interaction happened and what she writes is from my point of view the opposite of what happened. This person started yelling at the girls that were on shift. She was completely irate, screaming about her hair and her room, yelling at the staff to pay her 2 million rupiah because the pool discoloured her hair. The pool is clean. It's not overly chlorinated. Myself and everyone else was swimming in it daily and no one had any issues. I'm sure there's no issues like this posted in other reviews. She was also yelling at them about her room. She booked the budget room for next-to-nothing on the other side of the resort. I personally never saw those rooms, but what do you expect when you book something ultra cheap? The whole time she was yelling at the staff, they were super calm, just trying to calm her down and resolve the situation but she was just getting more and more irate. It took the owner of the resort showing up and him and basically the entire staff to finally get her to calm down.

The way this person depicts the staff is just the opposite of how they really are. I saw the owner almost daily and he was so kind. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful, as was everyone else that works there. If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay for a really good price a bit away from the centre of Canggu, this is it.

Really nice and brand new hotel. The swimming pool is great. Rooms are clean and cheap. The staff is friendly but their english is limited. Breakfast included in the price is quite light (only eggs and bread) but you can add extra. They need to have better trained staff as you can tell it is not their primary job. They forgot fork and knife, napkins at the restaurant. They forgot your drinks. Etc. Nothing important though. Overall the place is great. I hope it would remain well maintained

Perfect host. I arrived late at the airport. They called me and confirmed my arrival. They picked me up at the airport.

When I arrived at the resort, the kitchen was already closed. Still they asked me if I was hungry and prepared what I wanted from the menu.

The location is clean, beautiful and quite. I had a room with perfect view. The room was clean and everything that was needed was present. Towels, shampoo, body wash, toothbrush.

You can rent a scooter at the front desk. They staff is very helpful and kind. The owner always comes to greet you personally on arrival.

Anything you need is provided by them. Information, advice etc.

I stayed 3 weeks which was perfect, the price was good. The facilities like the swimming pool and garden are perfect. (If you wake up early, you can go to the back and walk trough the rice fields)

This will be the location for me in canggu on arrival. Besides that, you can be anywhere from here in very short notice. Canggu is max 10 min by scooter.

It's the best place to stay get away from the crowds. There is a cafe in the resort where you can order meals. It also has a normal sized pool with lounge chairs and tables where you can relax or do some work. The rooms are clean and spacious, good enough for a big luggage and enough room to move around in. All the rooms have a balcony and come with a clothes hanger that you can use to dry clothes. The view of the mini rice terraces from the balcony was what we enjoyed most in the mornings. It's a bit hard to spot since you need to go down a small alleyway that is wide enough for a car or scooter to go in. There is only a signboard by the entrance to the alleyway showing the name of the resort. All in all very good place to stay in at a budget price.

There are no nearby attractions, convenience stores or warungs. The cheapest way to get around is using a scooter but we were able to book a car through Go-Jek (much cheaper than grab).

We had our 45 anneversary over there last october 2019. We had a great time lovely people and the food was great. We certainly planned to come back one day. The rooms are very clean.
Hope you all survive the crisis.
