I have purchased two surfboards from Kartel and I can happily recommend them to my family and friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. While they certainly want to sell you their boards, I received sound advice on multiple occasions that helped me purchase the right board for my ability level, which helped my surfing development.

The value for what you get is excellent too. The boards at Kartel are ideal for people who are learning to surf and looking to find the right equipment to help with their progression.

I've just bought a board from Kartel and love it. I got great advice from the shop on what to buy (I'm stepping up from an old mini-mal), they took time to understand my needs and made sure I got the right thing. I love my new stick!!! The build quality is great and I know its going to help me progress. First class shop. First class board. Very reasonable price too. Great people to deal with. I'm stoked.

My wife and I were in Canggu for about a month and ended up buying two boards from Scott during our time there. Over the course of several visits we had tons of questions for him about boards and surfing in general, and he answered each and every one with patience and detail. The only shop where we’ve really felt guided through whole board shopping experience with careful consideration of our personal experience and skill level. A truly great experience.

Awesome boards. Awesome staff and owners. Definitely a must-visit in canggu!

I have purchased three boards from here, and will always go back for the personal service from Scott at Kartel. When I first moved to Bali he was a wealth of knowledge of what board I needed, where I should surf, tides, wind directions, and more importantly, un crowded hidden spots! Looking forward to heading off on one of the surf camps later in the year. 5 stars everyday of the week.

Great shop carrying a wide range of boards. The owner Scott lives and breathes surfing and happily gives out advice if you need it - he'll let you know the board you need; not the one you think you'd like to be surfing on a magazine cover - and as a result you'll have more fun in the water.

Also has all the accessories and a small range of Kartel board shorts and clothing.

I bought a board from Scott (owner) in Dec. He advised on fin set etc and the board is fantastic!!! 6/6/6 glass, strong as especially given the beating I give it! Shape is fantastic in smallish to overhead. Best boards in Bali!

Kartel Boardstore is the best! Fast, professional, thorough, friendly service. They've got great surfboards including the Brawa which gives shortboard performance with the volume necessary for big guys like me. Also got a sweet boogie board for the kids, wax, leashes, a board sock, u0026 a lid for my middle son while we were there. Scott is an amazingly friendly family man that is happy to talk with you about boards, local surf spots, Bali life, or anything regarding the surfing lifestyle. If you come to Canggu , make sure you stop in and meet Scott. Pick up some gear if you need it as well. Cheers!
