This is my very first time ever staying at a hostel with bunk beds and I couldn't have picked a better place for an amazing stay. Still have a few days left here but I'm pretty certain they will go as marvelously as the first three days. Really kind, helpful, open and interactive staff (or more like instant friends than staff, really). The vibe and atmosphere are very welcoming. They always play good music fitting for the time of day. The breakfast selection is slim but the quality makes up for it. The bed is so comfortable and spacious. The whole place is well kept and nicely decorated. And the common/shared space allows you to interact with other people who are (probably) going to be the chillest people ever. I will definitely come back here someday.

Kamaran hostel is much more than just a hostel. Kamaran hostel is where I called home for a month.
Kamaran hostel did my experience in Bali the most powerful and enjoyable as possible. The staff straight away became like family, they are super friendly and fun and there is always good vibes. They recommend you things to do around the area if you need. The hostel itself is brand new, clean and tidy. There is a kitchen that is very convenient. The location is perfect, not far from the center (10 min drive).
To summarize- the hostel is very cheap compared to what you get in return. I would for sure come back to this hostel.

Most chill and comfy hostel I've ever been to. The crew is super kind and helpful, and also good homies to chill with. Best vibe ever! Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food (miss them eggvocados), chill room with comfy beds for a good sleep. Maybe not the most quality restrooms to use though, but still good if you're an easy dude(tte). Yea I loved it there, miss you guys.

Really nice hostel, can’t say much about the dorm cause we had a private room, but everything worked in the room, new AC, was very spacious, big bath tub, WiFi was great, breakfast is yummy, they sell everything from home made beer which was awesome and they even brought us breakfast in bed cause it was my girlfriends birthday! Awesome guys, great hostel! Definitely would recommend and stay again! Cheers guys!
P.s. THEY HAVE PUPPIES!!!

Kamaran is a hostel located just outside of the crowded and populair Canggu area, only a 10 minute bike ride away from the city centre and the beaches.

The hostel has clean and well airconditioned (dorm) rooms and little curtains for every bed which gives you the ability to get a little bit more privacy. The kitchen is right next to the dorms and every morning chef Tiar and his colleagues will serve you a delicious breakfast of choice. The (cold) showers are outside but only a second away from you dorm and towels are provided with your stay.

When you don’t feel like hanging out in the kitchen there is also a common area which feels more like a living room or small cinema (with a massive new TV and Netflix) or the pool area which is always kept nice and clean.

Besides from the hostel and their facilities what really made my stay unforgettable was the staff. All good friends from back when they used to live in America together and fluent in both English and Indonesian. Anything you’ll need or have questions about they will help you with! From ordering food in Indonesian to discussing prices with the bike rental guy that tried to rip you off. From finding the best massage places to advising you how to get to your next destination. These guys are truly the best!

Oh, and I don’t think I have to mention this since this is probably why you’re viewing this hostel but they have five adorable dogs! ????

I am not much of a hostel person but after staying at Kamaran my views have changed. The facility is very well kept and it’s about a 10 min drive to the beach. If you are into surfing the hostel is located in the surfers area of canggu with a lot of hip bars, great places for an açaí bowl and a lot of Balianese local food as well as a lot of wester style places to eat. The staff interacts with all the guests and creates a family feel for anyone who stays at the hostel. I definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the canggu area.
