Bendesa gives you that old fashioned Bali welcome that just doesn't exist in a large hotel...whilst it lacks some of those extra things that make the illusion of a ultimate holiday pack...ie..no swim up bar..no room service..you can still walk yourself to the pool and have a nice cold beer beside it...and there begins the interaction ...with people and life...even if you are by yourself...you are not alone.
Just feels like home away from home..but with many different aspects to enjoy.

I originally booked this stay through Airbnb. I only needed a place to stay where I could sleep for 4 hours before a flight. Upon arrival, I was checked into a room that had a massive bug problem. I lost an hour just killing dozens of flying ants that were swarming around the lights and crawling on the walls. I thought I got enough of them to lay down and sleep for the little time I had left but found them crawling on me because they were also in the bed. At this point I complained to the security guard who was watching the front desk and they relocated me to a different room after they confirmed my complaint about the bugs. The next room appeared much better until I checked the bed for bugs and found blood stains on the sheets. Probably the worst stay experience I've had in Bali. Would not recommend.

The room is quite nice and fully equipped, the pool is big but the drawback is the internet is sometimes unstable and there is no hot water unless you rent the room for daily. There is the difference between daily room and monthly room

definitely will come back. Long stay here during my work vacation in bali. So here is the recap :

pros :
- helpful staff they clean my room every twice in a week
- big bedroom including refrigerator and personal bathroom
- clean swimming pool
- wide parking area
- sharing kitchen

cons :
- cons only come from other guests that they are so bossy regarding kitchen usage and tell everyone what we have to do and dont do. So better buy your own coffee machine electric glass just to boil the water and magic warmer rice cooker to make rice and away from debate unimportant things
- kitchen and sharing dining room become the place if you want to get hot gossips in between other guest and that is so annoying. Some persons who stay here and have lots of time maybe unemployed and able to talk other person's life

but overall the owner manages this place very well. Like oasis in hustle bustle Legian street during the night

Great place and good value for money.
Definitely back again.

The downside are not all rooms have water heater.

My fiancé and myself LOVED this accommodation, we travelled Bali for 2 months and kept coming back to this place, we ended up staying a total of 4 times (flew in/out and used it as a layover spot). The staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is great!
We stayed in the twin accommodation rooms, they have great working ac, comfortable pillow and beds, they provide towels and hand soap. If you are looking for luxury (the rooms are a bit outdated) maybe upgrade your stay as they also have beautiful luxury options, just economy was all we personally needed.
The pool is wonderful, and they have an outdoor shower to rinse off, along with a toilet so you never have to leave the poolside if you don’t want to. Lots of seating by the pool and wifi connects there which is awesome... just do everyone a favour and don’t blast your music. The only issue I had was vendors come around every now and again asking if you want to buy their paintings... we didn’t mind as we were enjoying the pool, and helping them practice their English, their paintings were beautiful (were just backpacking and don’t have the space).
You can buy beers from their restaurant for 35k (large Bintang or 25k for small).
The breakfast the first time we stayed we were given options off a menu - very tasty, the next few times we stayed there was a buffet - also tasty with lots of options! Special thank you to the wonderful staff who shared smiles, pleasant conversation and made us feel at home!
They also do luggage storage if you need - we used it to fly to Singapore and back without having to lug around our large backpacks.
