Heard from a friend that they put butter in the coffee so I was interested, because who doesn't like butter? ????
This part of Jalan Petitenget already have a few good dining options and this place serving Malaysian food is definitely on the list. It's located in one of the small alleys, so it's not very visible from the main street. It's a small space with a smart seating arrangements to maximize the space. Indoor and outdoor seating available, with vibrant details in the interior.
Starters:
We tried the kaya toast which exceeded my expectations. I particularly like the bread and the homemade kaya jam. I ended up ordering a jar which is available by preorder in D-2 for IDR69k.
Mains:
The hainanese chicken rice comes with a flavorful soup and tender chicken. Serving size is just right.
Sides:
Honey butter chicken also came fresh and flavorful, sweet and savory.
Drinks:
Ordered the Milo Shiokzilla out of curiosity and it delivered the shiok when they added ice cream in the Milo. Loved it! And yes we tried the butter coffee and it was nice and extra creamy.
Plus points:
- service was great through out (thank you!)
- food (including the kaya toast) is made fresh daily and by order
- nice and cozy interior for afternoon coffee or meal
- they have a membership program which allows you to earn cashback, discounts, and free tea/coffee
Things to consider:
- space is limited, so when it's busy, it's busy. Better secure your space by reservation (not sure if they accommodate, tho)
- if you come late for dinner, some menu may not be available
